Join Us for Four Sessions on the Heart and Vision of City Church
We invite you to explore the history, foundation, and mission of City Church of Sacramento through a series of four informative sessions. Whether you're new to our community or have been with us for a while, this course is designed to help you understand who we are, what we believe, and how we live out our faith together.
Session Overview:
I. Our Foundation
In this session, we'll focus on the essential elements of our faith, beginning with understanding what it means to be a Christian. We’ll also explore the two key ordinances of the church—Baptism and Communion—and their significance in the life of every believer.
II. Our Faith
Here, we’ll discuss the core purpose, focus, and values that guide City Church. We’ll look at why we exist, what drives our ministry, what we believe as a community, and how those beliefs shape the way we live and serve.
III. Our Focus
This session will take you through the story of City Church, highlighting our mission and who we’re called to reach. We’ll also introduce our Christian Education Program designed to help you grow spiritually, and we’ll share our strategy for ministry and outreach. Additionally, we’ll give you the opportunity to identify your spiritual gifts through a Spiritual Gift Test.
IV. Our Family
In our final session, we’ll discuss the importance of community within City Church. You’ll learn about how we are organized for growth, the role of relationships in our church family, and what it means to be a member. We’ll also explore the next steps for getting more involved and growing deeper in your faith.
