Additional Information
Join us for journal club with the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM.) We will have an interesting discussion about severe burn injuries and their treatments with Biodegradable Temporizing Matrix (BTM) with Dr. Dattesh Dave and Dr. Theo Pham. Journal clubs provide many benefits for healthcare providers including critical appraisal skills, knowledge updates, research utilization and formulating clinical questions. Journal club also yields opportunities for networking and mentorship, professional skill development, collaboration and communication, and lifelong learning and confidence.
Our first article: "The Application of a Synthetic Biodegradable Temporizing Matrix in Extensive Burn Injury: A Unicenter Experience of 175 Cases."
Our second article: "The Metabolic Impact of Biodegradable Temporizing Matrix in Burn Patients: A Retrospective Analysis of Resting Energy Expenditure and Inflammation."
Both these articles are attached.
We appreciate the collaboration with Dr. Kathleen Romanowski and the Society of Critical Care Medicine and Taylor Leon with PolyNovo.
