2025 Epic Practice Swim 1.2-mile portion of IMCA Swim

430pm Swim Start: Great way to get a feel for the water, take your time getting in, acclimating, see the Swim Start, & show your fam & friends too. We swim to the halfway point of the IMCA swim, which is just after the first 2 bridges where we then swim to the left and you’ll see everyone gathering at the Tiscornia Beach area. Perfect timing to shower after, grab dinner and check out the Welcome Ceremony. The American River is open to the public and you can swim during daylight hours. Not suggested to swim alone. (This is not the official practice swim and not sponsored by IM). If you have anyone who wants to assist with kayak/stand up paddle safety- I can bring extra stand up paddle boards. Wear your swim buoy. What an exciting adventure we are all on to get to this point~ Thanks for being part of it!

Logistics: Get to the Swim Start: Have Sherpa drive and please pickup others from Tiscornia Park taking them to Township 9 Park. It costs $7 to park at Tiscornia Park. OR from Tiscornia Park a large group will walk the .7-mile walk on bike path. Or Park free at Swim Start(Township 9 Park) then walk back to car using the flip flops you put in a kayak during the swim or get ride back to your car. No one left behind- we help each other get back to our vehicles safely. Wear flip flops. You can give keys, phones, flip flops to the kayaks and they give them back to you at the end of the swim on Tiscornia Beach 👍 🔑 📱 🩴
