Quilting by the Bay

Join us for a week of quilting by the ocean!

Quilting by the Bay welcomes you to a special week of convivial sewing. Set up your machine in a comfortably large air-conditioned room. Bring your unfinished work and get input as you need it. Or start a new project and enjoy plenty of time and space to work. Many quilters return year after year for this quilting extravaganza – and each year we welcome several newcomers to our Opening Circle with enthusiasm for their participation and their individual projects. You will have a table of your own to spread out your work, nearby irons and boards, a design wall if you need it, and access to a cutting table for managing larger pieces of yardage. If distractions of beautiful fabric make you want to leave your machine and go shopping, we are usually interested in those expeditions, too. And don’t forget the friendships and conviviality of like-minded sewists doing what they love the most.
Plus daily meals are included (prepared by our onsite chefs)! A wide variety of lodging from cottages, to dorms and camping is available!

You'll enjoy quilting sessions in the morning and afternoons, with occasional optional project class and evening activities. During the week there is usually a quilting show and tell, a lobster dinner night and more!
