Remember when Jace Tunnell shared with us about nurdles and the Nurdle Patrol?
We have received our Nurdle Patrol Collection Kit and are ready to hit the beach at Sea Rim State Park. We will be reporting our findings with the Nurdle Patrol, a citizen science project led by the Harte Research Institute at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. After that, we stroll the boardwalk, nosh on a sack lunch, and possibly pick up other beach trash.
What are nurdles?
A nurdle is a plastic pellet which serves as raw material in the manufacturing of plastic products. Nurdles are washing up on our beaches, riverbanks, and lake shorelines by the millions.

Comfortable shoes and clothes for walking on the beach
Reusable water bottles
Snacks
Sack Lunch

Carpool: Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged. It will reduce your trip expenses, offer companionship, reduce parking congestion and is good for the environment. Note that Sierra Club leaders will not assign participants to a carpool. Assignment exposes the Club and its leaders to an unacceptable liability risk.
