Dormouse box cleaning/ fixing

You are invited to help out with our annual dormouse box cleaning/ fixing day at the Princethorpe woodlands area.

As dormice should be hibernating for the winter, they don’t use the boxes, so we spend a day replacing and fixing the nest boxes in the woods ready for the next survey season.

We have two woods to cover, so if you can stay for a few hours please bring lunch and a drink. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. The woods are often quite wet and muddy at this time of year.

We will meet at the Burnthurst Road lay-by next to Wappenbury wood. Please try to car-share share where possible as there are limited spaces available. What3words location ///litigate.roadways.rejoin

NB: please bring along gardening gloves, sturdy wire, wire cutters, a metal paint scraper if you have any of these to hand!
