The Logan County Detention Center will host a Pre-Release Class on September 19, designed to help incarcerated individuals prepare for life after completing their sentences. This event brings together a variety of community-focused organizations that provide critical reentry resources—including housing opportunities, rehabilitation programs, food security assistance, clothing donations, job readiness training, and resume preparation.
Isaiah Pride, founder of Dad’s House, will serve as the keynote speaker. Drawing from his own journey and experience working with at-risk communities, Isaiah will deliver a message of hope, emphasizing that successful reentry is possible with the right support and determination.
The Pre-Release Class is an ongoing program held every few months, ensuring consistent access to resources and guidance for individuals transitioning back into society. Due to the impact of his message, Isaiah has been invited to continue speaking at these events whenever his schedule allows.
By connecting soon-to-be released individuals with local support networks, the program aims to reduce recidivism, strengthen community ties, and give participants the tools they need to build stable, productive lives after incarceration.
