Ngāti Hine Olympics

Ngāti Hine Health Trust, in partnership with Athletics New Zealand, presents the Ngāti Hine Olympics. This high-energy, team-based athletics experience is designed to uplift and empower taitamariki aged 11 to 16 from across the Mid-North.

This is not your typical track meet. The day will be packed with fast-paced competition, music, kai, entertainment and inspiration. Athletes will be drafted into mixed-ability teams, each mentored by elite New Zealand athletes who will support and motivate them throughout the event.

Highlights include:
• Team leaders selected from among the athletes
• Talent scouts and pathways to future sport and coaching opportunities
• Coverage by mainstream media and appearances by special guests
