Bird Walk at Pine Dunes Forest Preserve

The days may be getting shorter and the air a little cooler, but migration is far from over! October is one of the best months to spot a wide variety of birds. While some species have already moved on, many others are still on the move or settling in for winter. We'll be on the lookout for sparrows, finches, kinglets, woodpeckers, nuthatches, and waterfowl actively foraging as they head south or prepare for the colder months ahead.
