This marks the 30th Nordic Week held in Rovaniemi so it’s a special one :’) The week will be filled with plenty of activities, lectures, a hytte-tour, surprises and last but not least Artikla’s 46th Årsfest and SILLIS not to forget about bubblis (;.
This week’s theme is "Financial crimes: fraud and forgery” so gather your handcuffs and fake money and head toward the (hypothetical) white collar criminal’s paradise! This week will be filled with interesting lectures about the prevention and consequences of financial crimes from our generous corporate helpers, are you ready to learn from the best?? But after some lurking in the shadows of the corporate world, it is well deserved to take some time to pamper oneself and enjoy some fun times with other white collar criminals (NOORDISKA GÄSTEER) at the lovely capital of Lapland (Maybe all the forgery will lead to more capital to party?!)
For the most eager little criminals, the wondrous week will begin with a pre-party on Tuesday the 21st of October at Amarillo. This is a great opportunity to meet the other guests of the Nordic Week, and plot some schemes for the upcoming week! After some mingling, everyone will head home early to get some beauty sleep before the official start of the week!
As said prior, the official start of the week will begin bright and early on Wednesday 22nd of October with a welcoming lecture by the Faculty of Law and some lunch! After this introduction, you will be able to visit the Artikla office for some merch and coffee (no sticky fingers!!). Oh wait, what’s that? The bus is already waiting?! It’s time to head to HYTTE!!!! Jump on the party bus and buckle your seatbelts, this will be a ride of your lives! However before the hytte, there is a detour to a traditional SURPRISE to meet the man, the myth, the legend himself, SANTA CLAUS?!!! Remember to be nice, those little elves are aaaaalways watching… Following the group photo we will jump back on to our party bus to head to a safari surprise sponsored by Juristiliitto deep in the woods. We will get the bus shortly back on track for Wednesday’s main event, where we can already hear the words “What’s the name of the game?” echoing the hallways… With your new partners in crime it is finally time to get the HYTTESITTNIIIIING STARTEEEEED!!!
The theme for this sittning is “Financial crime and punishment" so bring your ball pens and briefcases for this sittning and get ready to feel the wrath of the toastmasters! There we shall enjoy a marvelous three course meal with some of the most beautiful sangs and speeches. Eventually the sittning will end but the festivities will not end, since the party will go on, and on, and on, and on…. The sauna will be hot and the drinks cold, nothing better than that!
Rise and shiiiiineeeee! It is Thursday morning and time to get all the laundered money back in your briefcases my fellow criminals, since it’s a new day! Perhaps you were able to catch up on some sleep or not, but it is time to get up to have some breakfast of the champions and head back into the heart of the city of Rovaniemi. So pack up your handcuffs, ball pens and fake money and jump back on the party bus, since a little mellandöd(or öl) awaits us. After some of this well earned rest it will be time to relax even more with a healing surprise sponsored by Krogerus. After this amazing relaxation will be time for a lecture and some food held by Tempo. at our wonderful club house Toippari! After we have learned to commit.. Wait I mean prevent financial crimes it is time for a traditional RUNNING SURPRIIIIISE!!! Time to pull those dusty overalls out of your suitcases and head to the University, since it is time to compete for the amaaaazing prizes for the noble participants!!! After this crazy race through the wilderness of Rovaniemi, the guests will gather around the wonderful campfire to enjoy some snacks and refreshments sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland! But the night doesn’t end there, since we will all have an opportunity to celebrate Artikla’s 46th birthday (yes, there is cake for the early birds) at Roy Club!!! If it isn’t time to karaoke our way through the night!!
Wakey wakeyyyy dear nordic guests!! Time to enjoy this gorgeous arctic morning! First we will have an interesting excursion to a bank (wonder how they let us in…) where Osuuspankki will introduce us to their spaces and offer us some lovely lunch! After learning about the banking world’s aspect to financial crimes we will head to our Club House for another interesting lecture by Krogerus. followed by some classic Swedish fika (WHAT, I thought we were in Finland?). Oh wait! Also a surpriiiiiise, one for the cultural side of Rovaniemi sponsored by Dittmar and Indrenius! We will enjoy some culture before tonight’s main event: THE NORDIC SITTNING (Sponsored by Sustashift)!!!! The theme is Great Gatsby, so put on your best top hat or flapper girl dresses and celebrate the 30th year anniversary of Artikla Nordic Weeks. The night will have some prizes, punishments and a great atmosphere in store for us!
A gooooorgeous morning to all of our lovely nordiska gäster because it is finally ÅRSFESTDAY!!! We will kick off the day with an interesting lecture presented by Hannes Snellman! After the interesting lecture we have some time to get beautiful for the årsfest and take it easy before the festivities begin. Before we head to the incredible Santa Park for the Årsfest, it is time to award each and every one of you Nordic warriors for your amazing survival of this cursed Artikla Nordic Week! Following the medal ceremony, buses will take us to ÅÅÅRSFEEST at Santa Park! There we will have the 46th årsfest of Artikla and have LOTS of fun. Remember, what happens in årsfest, stays in årsfest. And of course, what is årsfest without an afterparty?? Eventually, buses will take us back to Rovaniemi city centre and the afterparty will be held at Kansan Pub! We want to see you put in your best at the dance floor, karaoke or the bar counter!
NÄÄÄÄÄR BÖRJAAAAAR?!?!?!? IT IS TIME FOR THE ONE AND ONLY HUVUDDAG AKA, PÄÄPÄIVÄ AKA THE MAIN DAYYYY! Yeah, you heard it right, it’s time for SILLIS! Gather all the remaining strength you can muster and head to the SILLIS. There you will also find the Int.Sek. attempting to survive BUBBLIS (please contact the Vice for any further information). So let’s enjoy all the Nordic love and KEEP THE PARTY GOING!!
Then when Monday morning rises, it is time to say goodbye…

Your local Int.Sek will inform you of your association's sign-up process. There are three (3) spots for each member association of Nordiska Sekretariatet. The price for the week is 200 euros and 180 euros for the Helgen-weekend (24.-26.10.). Please sign up via your local international secretary by the 20th of September.
