Rotorua PLD: Beyond the Poi and Poster

Rotorua takiwa ako welcomes you to join Rahiri and Aria in an interactive workshop that supports you to move beyond symbolic gestures of bicultural practice toward authentic transformation.

The session will explore the Poua te Aroha
Framework, focusing on three pou:

✨Pou Mātauranga – integrating mātauranga
Māori into curriculum and assessment.

✨Pou Taiao – creating culturally responsive
environments that affirm tamariki Māori identity, wairua, and belonging.

✨Pou Tautoko – developing culturally appropriate systems of support for kaiako, tamariki, and whānau
