This March, celebrate Women’s History Month with the Historical
Society for Southeast New Mexico! In honor of area writers and
historians, the HSSNM celebrates the likes of Eve Ball, Ernestine
Chesser Williams, Esther Goddard, Lou Tomlinson White, Amelia
Bolton Church, and other women who preserved our local history.
Sunday, March 1, 2026, 2 pm to 3:30 pm
- Lynda A. Sánchez presentation about Eve Ball
“An Archaeological Adventure Exploring the Files of Eve Ball”
- Proclamation for Women’s History Month
Saturday, March 7, 2026, 2 pm to 3:30 pm
- Book signing of female authors: Eide S. Nevets,
Barbara Corn Patterson, Eva McCollaum, Lynda A. Sánchez and others.
All this, plus multiple brand-new exhibits throughout
the museum and Archives!
