This year, Roswell Roots invites you to step into the spotlight with an all-new event inspired by festival favorites like Poetry Slam and Beats & Ballads. Roots Slam & Jam Open Mic is a celebration—not a competition—where performers of all kinds are invited to share five minutes of creativity around the theme Celebrating Black Excellence.

From music and dance to spoken word, comedy, and unforgettable surprises, anything goes! Hosted by the energetic duo Max Breaux and Britni Ariel, this lively night brings together raw talent, bold voices, and the powerful spirit of community. Whether you're taking the mic or soaking up the vibes from the audience, it’s going to be a party both on stage and off.
