Join us for a guided sushi-making experience designed to help you slow down, savour the process, and connect through food and conversation.
You’ll prepare and share a simple sashimi rice bowl together - guided through gentle, mindful steps that invite you to notice the textures, colours, and rhythms of cooking. Between each stage, you’ll explore Food for Thought prompts - lighthearted and meaningful questions that help you discover new sides of each other.
Whether you come as a couple or a pair of friends, this pilot session is your chance to unwind, be present, and connect.
Hi, I’m James - I’m a part-time psychologist and full-time sushi lover.
I created Mindful Maki as a way to bring together two things I care deeply about: connection through food and the power of mindfulness to bring us back to the present moment.
This pilot workshop is part of an idea I’ve been slowly building - a gentle, guided sushi-making experience that’s less about getting things perfect, and more about being present, playful, and connected.
You don’t need any prior experience. Just bring a willingness to slow down, tune in, and share a meal with intention.
I’d love to have you join me - and help shape what this might become.
Come as a pair and save.
Add two tickets at checkout and pay only $75 each instead of $150 each.
Perfect for couples or friends wanting to join together.
Also check out other Workshops in Parramatta.
