Join the OSU Extension Service Master Food Preservers for an engaging and informative workshop that introduces the basics of freeze drying at home. Learn how this increasingly popular food preservation method can help you create healthy, shelf-stable drinks, meals, and snacks while retaining flavor, color, and nutrients.

During the workshop, Master Food Preserver volunteers will walk through the freeze-drying process, discuss appropriate foods and safety considerations, and share tips for getting started with equipment and storage. Whether you’re curious about emergency preparedness, reducing food waste, or expanding your food preservation skills, this workshop offers practical information for beginners.

Participants will also have the opportunity to sample a variety of freeze-dried treats prepared by MFP volunteers, giving you a firsthand taste of what’s possible with freeze drying.
