On the 2nd Saturday of every month East Alabama Gun Club hosts a 6 Stage IDPA match, with a quick "First Shots" stage for 7 stages total. Minimum roundcount will be 112 rounds, but expect to shoot up to 150.
With 24hrs notice, a 5x5 classifier and complementary equipment check, sans chrono, are available after each match to current IDPA members.

If you need ammo for the match, Black Dot Ammunition is available in the EAGC proshop. 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP are guaranteed to be in stock on match day. The owner of Blackdot is a very accomplished IDPA and USPSA competitor and he has designed ammo specifically to match the power factor and characteristics needed for competition. You will not find a better factory ammo for competition.
A cover garment is required for all divisions except PCC or those shooting under the duty gear exemption. This can be a jacket, vest, or shirt. All that matters is that it covers your gun, holster, magazines, and magazine pouches.
To qualify for the duty gear exemption you need to be active duty military or law enforcement. You must use your work holster and belt. Belt must be strong side. The holster must have at least 1 retention device, and all retention devices present must be used.
If your friends say they don't shoot IDPA because AIWB and Weapon Mounted Lights aren't allowed, politely tell them that the 2022 rulebook has rendered that excuse obsolete. Comps and ports are now allowed in ESP, CO, CCP, and BUG, provided the gun still fits in the box and makes weight.
New match policy: Match Staff gets a $10 refund on match fee.
