All day event including a hike through the copper forest/chestnut groves in the Genal valley and a visit to the chestnut festival in Pujerra.

Leaving Gib/La Linea at 8am

After breakfast we drive to Pujerra and do our hike through the chestnut groves:
14km
800 m elevation gain
4.5 to 5 hours
1 river crossing (might need to remove shoes)
We will also pass by the smurf village Juzcar during the hike.
Once back in Pujerra we can check what is going on at the chestnut festival, as they celebrate the chestnut harvest: food, drinks, chestnut museum, some singing and dancing (maybe?),.....
We will spend some time there and then make our way back home.
Full program, it will take us all day. Don't make plans in the evening as it will be later than usual until we come back.
As always, bring plenty of water and snacks, and check the weather carefully, it can get cold up there.
