Did someone say Free Lunch? Maybe even free camping?
Well we’re calling for your to help at our Summer working bee as we work to freshen up the site for the new year.
There are plenty of practical tasks to get stuck into, including a deep clean and audit of the kitchen, cleaning stoves and ovens, emptying fireplaces of ash, washing windows, de-cobwebbing buildings, and scrubbing down shower walls.
The main working bee is on Sunday, but if you want to camp with your friends or Unit on Saturday night, send us a DM and we'll get you booked in.
Schedule for the Sunday, 1st Feb
9am Arrive
9:30am Briefing/Job Assignment
1pm BBQ Lunch
4pm Wrapping up and home time
Additional jobs will include checking and reviewing bunk slats in Warnock Lodge to make sure everything is safe and ready for future groups. The goal of the day is to give the camp a thorough refresh so it’s clean, welcoming, and ready for the year ahead. Any time and help you can offer will make a big difference.
Rowallan relies on a small group of Scouting volunteers to maintain and development it and would greatly appreciate any help. If you can come then please notify
