Historical Marker Dedication and Unveiling at Fort Rickey

Fort Rickey was an important British military outpost that guarded the western end of the Oneida Carrying Place in the mid-1700s and was the northern point of the Fort Stanwix Treaty Line of 1768. Join the History Center, Oneida Carry Research Group, and friends to unveil and dedicate a new historical marker commemorating this site. This event will be held at 5135 Rome-New London Rd, Rome, NY 13440. This marker was funded by a grant from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation. Rain date: September 19.
