Christina Wilcox has been a fixture at Copper City Brewing Company since before it opened. Originally brought on as a temporary help-us-get-on-our-feet hire, Christina did what Christina does and took the bull by the horns and has stayed on since then.
Anyone who knows her, knows her tenacity. And right now she is taking the biggest bull by the horns as she navigates her treatments for stage 3 colorectal cancer.
There have been upticks and setbacks along the way, but the one constant through all of this has been her fiance, Eric. He transports her back and forth to Rochester, and never leaves her side. Her kids, Christian and Bella have also been there through all of it.
Now it's our turn. She needs us all now more than ever and we're asking you to join us on Sunday, October 5 from 1-5 pm down on the East Side, where many of us first got to know this courageous badass.
It will be a full day of celebrating and supporting Christina and those closest to her with a 50/50 and basket raffles and a whole lot of food.
One of Christina's favorite local bands, Second Breakfast is donating their time to perform alt-rock hits from the '90s-'00s and more from 2--5 pm.
