Have a woofing-great time and celebrate being a dog owner at Council’s inaugural Bark in the Park event.
To be held at the Roma Off-Leash Dog Park on 20 September, this event is designed to hear your ideas for the Roma Off-Leash Dog Park upgrade and to promote responsible pet ownership in the Maranoa.
As part of the 2025/26 Budget, $50,000 has been allocated towards upgrades for the Roma Off-Leash Dog Park.
Spokesperson for Community Safety, Cr Amber Davis, said the upgrades to the Roma Off-Leash Dog Park came as result of constructive community feedback.
“Council encourages all dog owners to come along to Bark in the Park to give us your feedback on where the $50,000 should go towards while helping you enjoy a day out with your pooch.”
On the day there will be stallholders, Lions Club of Roma Sausage Sizzle, a coffee van, giveaways, and a variety of competitions.
Maranoa Regional Council is proud to collaborate with local businesses to make this event a big success including Roma Vets, Town and Farm, Lions Club Roma, and Roma Pet World.
