Frocktober is a fundraising campaign held each October to raise awareness and money for ovarian cancer research.

It started in Australia and has spread to New Zealand too. The idea is simple but fun: people (traditionally women, but anyone can join in) wear dresses or “frocks” throughout October—sometimes every day, sometimes just for special events—and use it as a way to start conversations about ovarian cancer, fundraise, and show support.

Because ovarian cancer often has vague symptoms and no reliable early detection test, campaigns like Frocktober aim to highlight the importance of research and awareness.
