COTATI CREEK WEEK 2025 -
Fall trash clean up and habitat restoration projects
Your help is needed to keep the Laguna de Santa Rosa in Cotati healthy for wildlife and people too!
Date: Saturday, September 20, 10:00 AM – 12 noon
Locations: Meet at three City check-in stations first - along the Laguna de Santa Rosa at Pocket Park (end of LaSalle Ave.) or Benson Lane (for trash removal and habitat restoration), or Gravenstein Way for trash removal only.
What to wear: Dress to get dirty. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes or boots. Bring your hat, water and sunscreen.
What to bring: For creek habitat restoration work tools may be a limiting factor so please bring your favorite hand pruners or loppers if you have them. Buckets, carts and wheelbarrows will also be helpful.
What will be provided: Directions and instructions from team leaders, gloves, trash grabbers, buckets, and additional tools. Trash, recycling and green waste bins.
Call out for volunteers: If you would like to help guide the habitat restoration efforts on Sept. 20, there will be a training/preparation day on Saturday, Sept. 13. Please contact Craig Scott.
Contact information: Craig Scott, Director of Public Works, 707 665 3620
The “Celebrating the Laguna de Santa Rosa” exhibit will be available for viewing at the Cotati Historical Museum this and every Saturday, 1:00-4:00PM, through the end of the year.
