Do you think of scones as dry hockey pucks? They shouldn’t be! Join us as Mrs. Rachael teaches students how to make scones the way they’re meant to be. Create a Valentine’s treat that is truly divine this season. ❤️🧁
Mrs. Rachael is a member of the Homeschool Hub and previously owned a bakery up north before moving here this year to join our homeschooling community. We are excited to learn from her and to gain skills in this much-needed area.
Members pay $5 per student.
Non-members pay $8 per student.
To keep costs low, each student is required to bring their own baking utensils to make a batch of scones. The class fee covers all ingredients, such as flour, sugar, and more.
Supply List:
• Baking/Cookie Sheet
• Bench scraper (optional, for easier cleanup)
• Fork
• Pastry blender or cheese grater
• Small bowl
• Large bowl
• Liquid and dry measuring cups
• Measuring spoons
• Wooden spoon
• Table knife
This class is limited to 25 students. Siblings may bake together. Because only one oven is available, Mrs. Rachael will prepare scones ahead of time for students to sample. Each student will prepare their own scones during class and take them home to bake.
