Introduction to Writing Short Stories: With Author Tom McKay

The workshop will examine setting, characters, and plot as three main elements of a story and address description, action, and dialogue as three tools in telling a story. The one-hour session will include instruction, discussion, and exercises designed to refine writing skills and sharpen story telling techniques.

The workshop is appropriate for beginning writers, more experienced writers who wish to compare perspectives, and avid readers who are curious about how stories are created. At the end of the session, Mr. McKay will be available to sign copies of Junk to Think About.
