AI Made Simple: A Practical Introduction for Everyday Life

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m., the Rockport Public Library will host an informational session entitled “AI Made Simple: A Practical Introduction for Everyday Life.” The free, one-hour presentation will be given by Anastasia Fischer. No technical background is required, just curiosity.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer an abstract idea—it’s a practical tool that can make everyday tasks easier. Fischer will break down what AI is (in plain English), show simple real-life examples, and explore how it can help with things like writing messages, planning trips, understanding documents, or learning new skills.

Anastasia Fischer is a Maine-based product strategist and consultant who has spent 20+ years helping organizations use technology in practical, human-centered ways. She previously led US Harbors, growing it into a nationally recognized coastal weather platform, and now works with nonprofits, small businesses, and rural communities to help them navigate emerging technologies with confidence and clarity.
