Seed Saving Workshop

Have you wanted to save seeds but are overwhelmed by the prospect? As the garden goes to sleep for the winter, we'll learn why plants set seeds. We'll explore some easy varieties of plants for saving seeds from cut flowers, vegetables, and even some native seeds. Participants will learn how to create seed balls with soil, clay, and native seeds to improve regional biodiversity by spreading them around. Besides the seed balls, participants will go home with a variety of seeds to plant in 2026. All ages are welcome!

This workshop is $10/person or $15 for a family and will be held at Plainsong Farm (6677 12 Mile Rd NE, Rockford).
