Alyce is a Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse (REVN) with extensive previous experience of the farm and equine industries, having grown up on a farm and managed local equine establishments, plus lots of qualifications including a BA (hons) degree in Equine Management and her stage 3 BHS qualifications. She is passionate about all thing’s horses! Having previously owned and competed her own horse Penny.
Alyce will be discussing current best practice, the how, when and why of managing a situation where our beloved horses may require immediate intervention
She will be offering guidance on topics such as:
When to call the vet
Your horses vital signs and how to monitor them
Wound management
Recognising colic
Recognising laminitis
Mud rash, malanders, salanders.
