At 8:00 PM EST, we welcome Frances Eliza! Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Asheville-based singer-songwriter Frances Eliza blends her love of songwriting with her passion for jazz, indie-folk, and pop music. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Cranberries, Joni Mitchell, and Taylor Swift, Frances’ music seamlessly weaves the emotive storytelling of folk with distinctive, unforgettable melodies. Over the past decade, she has captured the hearts of audiences across the Southern East Coast. Frances plays solo sets regularly at local and regional coffee houses and breweries, and has been featured as a lead jazz vocalist with various well acclaimed Asheville jazz musicians. She has released two EPs over the past five years, and her most recent single, Nowhere (January 2025) has only continued to evolve her sound. In recent years, Frances, has been performing her new and old material at various regional venues both solo and with her band.Check her out at

At 7:30 PM EST, we welcome back singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Seph Custer! Widely known in Southwest Virginia, Seph has over 1,200 live performances to his credit including has been featured in The Floyd Country Store’s annual tribute concerts honoring music legends Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Carole King, and Paul Simon. He also released two solo albums: Where You Are (2016) and Beginning to End (2017). His unique style uses vocals and a modified guitar to emulate the depth of a full band without looping or pre-recorded tracks. He gained regional recognition with a namesake craft beer (“Sepheweissen”) in 2015, and competed in Floydfest’s “Artists on the Rise.” As well as being a performer and composer, Seph teaches acoustic & electric guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, bass, violin, slide guitar, lap steel, dobro, and music theory right here at 3rd Street Coffeehouse!
