Dolly Parton is turning the big 8-0 this year, and we’re celebrating this living legend the best way we know how- with another youth book drive benefiting West End Center for Youth!
Since 1979, West End Center for Youth has provided affordable, high-quality after school care and summer programs for students from every quadrant of Roanoke City. At last year’s Jolene Jamboree we collected over 100 books to donate to their library- and we’re hoping to top that this year!
📚 How to participate: From now through the 18th, bring a new or gently used K-12 book to Golden Cactus and receive one raffle ticket per book (up to 5 entries per person) for a chance to win a Dolly-themed prize basket packed with goodies from local businesses.
Not sure what to donate? Our friends from @rainydayreadsva and @waronbooks will be popping up so you can purchase a book on site to give back.
🍳 And because no celebration is complete without good food, we’re thrilled to welcome back @elleagant for a special brunch pop-up featuring menu items like Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Cheddar-Chive Fried Chicken Biscuits, a Banana Pudding Pavlova, and more! Stay tuned for the full menu!
