Join us for Run for the Fallen on Thursday, September 11 | 8:30 am at the Area B Flight Line.
This ceremonial walk will be a 1.5k walk and a 2.5k run in honor of the sacrifices of the veterans, civilians, and military heroes of 9/11 as well as the families and everyone affected of the aftermath of this tragic day.
This event is open to all Wright-Patt employees and families
No registration required.

Who can participate in the event? Can I bring my family?
Wright-Patterson military and civilian personnel, dependents, and retirees. This event is not open to the public.
How does this honor 9/11?
There will be a brief ceremony at the start area to kick-off the run and walk. The ceremony will feature a guest speaker, honor guard presentation, live rendition of the national anthem, and a
prayer and moment of silence led by a base chaplain.
How do I register? Does it cost to participate?
Registration is not needed. The event is FREE!
Where are we meeting? Where will I park?
We will meet on the Area B flight line. Enter through the main entrance of the NMUSAF and follow event directional signage. There will be grass parking available near the flight line. The Loop Rd gate will not be accessible. Refer to the map for further visual details.
What can participants wear? Are headphones permitted?
Festive or unit morale attire is encouraged! No uniform required for military or civilian participants, though clothing must be appropriate athletic gear.
Headphones are allowed but should not be a distraction, to yourself or others, from proper safety measures and the purpose of the event.
Are strollers or handicapped bicycles allowed?
Strollers are allowed when walking. Handicapped bicycles are allowed, however, other bicycles, roller skates/blades, hover boards, etc. are NOT permitted.
Are pets allowed?
We love pets but they are not permitted at this event, sorry for any inconvenience.
