About the event

Volunteer Opportunity
Where: Kelly Creek Preserve

When: Wednesday, February 25th.

Time: 8 AM until 4 PM

What: Burning brush piles along the trail system.

How: Dead trees and brush have been cut and stacked. Volunteers will tend to burning brush piles and work to promote a complete burn by pushing unburned material into the center of the burn.

Equipment: Pitchforks, shovels, or rakes. Work gloves and old clothes - hot ash tends to burn holes in clothes. Safety glasses and face protection from heat, such as neck gaiters, scarf of face shields.

Lunch: Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
