Autumn Kayak the Nipp

In my opinion there is no better time to kayak the Nippersink Creek than the autumn. The fall migration of birds is taking place, the cool temps and the early morning mist rising from the water.

Let’s use this as RYO first get together. We will meet at the Keystone Landing and launch as a group at 9am. Make sure to be early so to be able to move vehicles to the take-out at Pioneer.

While the Nippersink is a very easy paddle, remember that every time you enter your kayak there will always be inherent risks, even small ones. So please make sure to have your pfd(IL state law), preferably wearing it, and have basic paddling skills. There will be plenty of experienced paddlers to help and guild the less experienced, but a basic skill set should be had.

Also, it’s important to note that this is an At Your Own Risk event. We all watch out for one another, but should you lose a paddle, phone or worse, Red Yeti Outdoors is not responsible(apparently that needs to be said these days)
