25. oktobrī MASA skatuvi pieskandinās zviedru ģitārists Tomas Janzon kopā ar kontrabasistu Juriju Natsvlišvili un bundzinieku Rudolfu Dankenfeldu. Koncertā skanēs Janzona oriģinālkompozīcijas — liriskas, pārdomātas un melodiskas džeza ainavas ar plūstošām līnijām, klasiskām ietekmēm un spilgtu, personīgu stilu.
Tomas Janzon dzimis Stokholmā, bērnībā spēlējis blokflautu un čellu, bet drīz vien pilnībā nodevies ģitārai. Studējis pie Joe Diorio un USC Thornton (Losandželosa), viņš savā spēlē apvieno akadēmisko dziļumu, džeza brīvību un melodisko izteiksmību. Janzona koncerti ASV, Eiropā un Skandināvijā guvuši kritiķu atzinību un klausītāju sajūsmu.

On 25 October, Swedish guitarist Tomas Janzon will perform at MASA together with double bassist Yuriy Natsvlishvili and a drummer Rudolfs Dankenfelds. The program will feature Janzon’s original compositions — lyrical, thoughtful and melodic jazz with flowing lines, classical influences and a distinctive personal style.
Born in Stockholm, Janzon first played recorder and cello before dedicating himself fully to the guitar. He studied with Joe Diorio and at USC Thornton in Los Angeles, developing a voice that unites classical depth, jazz freedom and melodic sensitivity. Performing across the US, Europe and Scandinavia, his albums have gained critical acclaim, while his concerts captivate audiences everywhere.
