For 42 years, Trans Europe Halles has been the meeting point for independent cultural centres — places where ideas are exchanged over late-night conversations, partnerships are sketched on napkins, and neighbourhoods are reimagined from the ground up.
This autumn, we celebrate our 100th gathering in Riga, Latvia. 🎉
From 30 October to 2 November 2025, we will come together at Kaņepes Kultūras Centrs (KKC) in Riga for Camp Meeting 100: “SHIFT + CULTURE” — four days to slow down, tune in to the quiet data of everyday practice, and explore how culture can stay agile — exploring new solutions, emerging tools, and thoughtful uses of data — while remaining deeply human at its core.
“SHIFT + CULTURE” will weave through three interwoven threads:
👁️ Before the change, there’s a way of seeing: Stepping outside familiar frames so curiosity can guide us.
📖 The “quiet data”: Recognising the data hidden in feedback, stories, shared moments, and everyday practice.
🧘🏽♂️ The inner work of outer shifts: Grounding strategy in care, courage, and the people who carry it forward.
The programme is still taking shape. Expect focused working groups where challenges become shared projects; panel discussions that surface fresh perspectives; peer-to-peer sessions for practical know-how; and live performances that ease into late-night gatherings of music and dance at KKC. Local producers will keep the conversation going with food that reflects the many cultures shaping Riga today.
Throughout, you’ll find space for reflection, spontaneous connections, and the collective energy that sparks new collaborations for 2026 and beyond.
TEH Camp Meeting 100 in Riga welcomes cultural managers, artists, activists, researchers, funders, urban practitioners, doers, and dreamers — anyone who wants to be part of shaping what comes next.
