Dear Awakening Alliance Family,
On Sunday, September 7 at 12:45 p.m., during our all-church potluck, we’ll hold a congregational meeting. This will be a short meeting, but it is very important that as many members as possible attend.
👉 If we do not have 51% of our active membership present, we cannot conduct business.

Proposed Bylaw Changes
Quorum Definition
Current wording: A quorum shall consist of 51% or more of the membership.
Proposed wording: A quorum shall consist of the members who attend a duly called congregational meeting.
Why: With two services and continued growth, it’s become nearly impossible to reach 51%. This change allows us to conduct business responsibly — the same way most large churches and organizations function.
Optional Governing Board Seats
Proposed addition: Up to two optional, non-mandatory seats may be added to the Governing Board:
Missions Chairperson
Member at Large
Why: Provides flexibility to strengthen leadership as the church grows, without mandating additional positions.
📅 Congregational Meeting
When: Sunday, September 7, at 12:45 p.m. (before potluck lunch)
What: Elect two members to the Nominating Committee + consider two bylaw changes
Bonus: Stay for lunch with your church family (Steelers game at 1:00!) 🏈
This is a family moment for us as a church, and your presence truly matters. Please make every effort to be there — stay after the second service, or if you attend the first, come back and join us for lunch. Together, we can celebrate what God is doing and make wise decisions for the future of Awakening Alliance.
