Fort Bend County Libraries and The Live Oak Playhouse are thrilled to announce the THIRD year of "Walking in Verse: An Interactive Poetry Event" taking place on Sat. April 11 from 12-3PM at the George Memorial Library, located at 1001 Golfview Drive in Richmond, Texas. We will be having auditions for featured authors on Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22 from 2-4:30PM at the George Memorial Library in Richmond, TX.
No appointment necessary; but please arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out forms and review audition material. Headshots and resumes are requested but not required! Auditions will consist of selections from each poet as cold readings, as well as engagement with director Stacy A. CASTING REQUIREMENTS
- 5 to 7 women and/or 5 to 7 men, all ethnicities, aged late teens to late seventies
- There are no roles for anyone younger than 18 in this production.
- Accents and Languages: British, West African, American South, Massachusetts (general), Maryland (General), Mid-west United States, New York city (Bronx), French accent/language, Spanish (Mexican) accent/language, Russian accent/language, Italian accent/language
- Improvisational skills and interactive theater experience are a plus. Performers will be paid a
stipend for this event.
