Valentine's Day Dance

Romance is in the air, and the Dance Friends LLC invites you to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an unforgettable evening of live jazz, swing dancing, and connecting with our community at the Valentine’s Day Dance.

Whether you plan on coming with special someone or confidently going solo, this night is a chance to dress to impress in your best cocktail-hour attire and move to great music on the dance floor alongside Richmond’s warm and welcoming swing community.

We’ll kick off the evening with a Beginner Lesson - perfect for first-timers or for anyone looking for a refresher - taught by our fantastic instructors Chris and Chelsea (no partner or experience required).

After the lesson, the dance floor will open for everyone to swing the night away to a LIVE performance by the Kevin Gaines Quartet; one of Richmond’s finest Swingin’ Jazz groups. Expect irresistible rhythms, catchy melodies, and that classic Swing energy of the 1930s and 40s paired with a packed floor all night long!

Between dances, enjoy a curated selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, spend quality time with your date, or hit it off in conversation with our fascinating and welcoming community of dancers. We’ll also have plenty of fun surprises throughout the night, including:
