RPGT3 Geocaching Weekend 2025

Celebrate the 3rd Annual Richmond KY Parks & Recreation Geocaching Weekend and launch of RPGT3 (3rd GeoTrail). This yea'rs theme is "Cultural Roots."

New geocaches will be launched and the previous year's geocaches can still be obtained through October 31st (each year). Obtain a Passport, find your geocaching Key Words, submit the Passport, and earn a locally artisan crafted souvenir.

This event is FREE and open to anyone interested in Geocaching. Tickets are only limited because of the FREE t-shirts to those who pre-register. There's no limit to who can attend and play. In order to play, you need a smartphone (or GPS device), a Geocaching account (those are free too), and the ability to drive to the various locations that will be posted. Fun for the whole family, or as a great solo getaway weekend.

This is an informal classroom style meet-up where Geocachers can share stories and attendees can see and hear resources shown on the big screen. Event location: Central Bank Community Room (enter thru lower level door - by drive thru area).

Info: Time to wrap up the weekend with a CITO (cache in, trash out) Event. This is an opportunity for our group to get together one last time before everyone makes their way home. We like to believe we are leaving our playground (Earth) a little cleaner than we found it at the start of the weekend. On your way home, finish locating geocaches launched over the weekend and enjoy logging local geocaches already in the area. Event location: Boat dock parking lot at Lake Reba Recreational Complex in Richmond KY.
