Birding Argentina and Antarctica

Synopsis: The subtropical region of Northeast Argentina offers great diversity of avifauna. Dr. McMullin will share photos and insights from his trip to the State of Misiones in NE Argentina as well as other parts of Argentina and Antarctica he and his wife visited in December, 2023.

Dr. Steve McMullin

Dr. Steve McMullin retired from Virginia Tech's Department of Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation in 2016, after 27 years of teaching and research focused on melding public opinion and involvement with good science in fisheries and wildlife conservation. Prior to coming to Virginia Tech, he worked for the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Although trained as a fisheries biologist, he became an avid birder when he retired. He and his wife, Leslie, live in Ashland but spend their summers in western Maine. He travels frequently for work and pleasure and never leaves home without his binoculars.
