OOYH Records Second Mondays at Artspace continues on October 13 with two great bands from Richmond, Yeni Nostalji playing the series for the first time, and Second Monday's regular Rinatt Montoya with his Spaceholder Trio. Looking ahead, we are thrilled to be hosting a 60th anniversary show for the AACM on November 10, with a night of duos by Nicole Mitchell and JoVia Armstrong. And we'll finish out the year on December 8 with our holiday improv grab bag. Very excited about all of these!

Yeni Nostalji is a vocal and double bass duo based in Richmond, Virginia with roots in Turkey and Lebanon. The duo features founder and vocalist Christina Marie and double bassist Ayça Kartari. The group performs original ballads and pop songs sung in Turkish as well as vintage Turkish hits from the 1960’s and 70's. They released their debut album in 2018 via Ropeadope Records which features members of the Richmond Symphony, Bio Ritmo, and NO BS! Brass. Yeni Nostalji has shared the stage with acts such as Mdou Moctar, Banda Magda, , B.C.U.C, Miramar, and Peni Candra Rini.
