Washington Elementary PTA along with Pt Richmond Neighborhood Council (PRNC) are extremely excited to announce the 3rd Annual KERMÉS ¡Viva Cultura! on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00AM - 5:00PM in downtown Pt. Richmond.
This amazing community event allows us to celebrate our diverse Spanish-speaking cultures and customs in downtown Pt Richmond, and you now have the opportunity to experience and participate in the beauty of the Kermés. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Washington Elementary PTA will close part of downtown Pt Richmond to coordinate a day of live music, dancing, food, small artisan vendors, and community resources. This celebration will showcase local Spanish-speaking businesses that make up and support our school and community, thus providing real-world representation to inspire our students outside the classroom. As Washington Elementary is a Dual-Language Immersion school, events like the Kermés expands on student education, bringing language, art, music, and culture to them.
Come ride a mechanical bull, play Loteria, Buy handmade artisan items, dance the day away with live bands, grab a bite to eat and see how our students are exposed to rich culture, language, empathy and the varying degrees that make our Culture. This is a free community event for all ages.
El PTA de la Escuela Washington junto con el Consejo Vecinal de Pt Richmond (PRNC) están muy emocionados de anunciar el 3er evento anual de la KERMÉS ¡Viva Cultura! este sábado 27 de septiembre de 2025 de 10:00AM a 5:00PM en el centro de Pt. Richmond.
Este increíble evento comunitario nos permite celebrar nuestras diversas culturas y costumbres de habla hispana en el centro de Pt Richmond y ahora usted tiene la oportunidad de experimentar y participar en la belleza de la Kermés. Celebrando Mes de Hispanidad, el PTA de la Escuela Washington cerrará parte del centro de Pt. Richmond para coordinar un día de música en vivo, baile, comida, pequeños vendedores artesanales y recursos comunitarios. Esta celebración exhibirá negocios locales de habla hispana que conforman y apoyan a nuestra escuela y comunidad, brindando una representación del mundo real para inspirar a nuestros estudiantes afuera del salón. Como la Escuela Primaria Washington es una escuela de inmersión bilingüe, eventos como la Kermés amplían la educación de los estudiantes, acercándoles el idioma, el arte, la música y la cultura.
Ven a montar un toro mecánico, jugar Loteria, comprar manualidades artesanales, bailar todo el día con bandas en vivo, y disfrutar de la gastronomía y comer nuestra rica comida y ver como nuestros estudiantes están expuestos a una cultura rica, lenguaje, empatía y varios grados que hacen nuestra cultura. Este evento es gratuito para toda la familia.
