Improv 101: Intro to Improv (Wednesdays 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

Explore the fundamentals of improv - agreement, commitment, teamwork, spontaneity and listening through fun exercises and group play.

Dates: This class runs Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting October 29th and running for 6 weeks (likely skipping a week for the Thanksgiving holiday). A showcase will be scheduled as an additional opportunity on an evening during the month of December.

Instructor: Ryan Dondero

Ryan Dondero has a dog and a "good attitude" (Mr. Dittenhofer, 5th grade teacher). He's from New York and lived in Los Angeles for some years before settling in Richmond in 2019. While in Los Angeles, he trained at UCB, The Pack Theater, and at the LA Fitness on Overland Avenue. He's been at Coalition since 2022 and has been having a blast. You can see him perform with Wolf Night, monthly with Can’t Hardly Date, and sporadically with Tote Bag and Y2k LOL. He writes for the satirical punk news website, The Hard Times.

COST: $185 (Early Bird $165)

The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
