Too shy to declare his feelings, he wrote: “I say to my piano what I would like to be saying to you…” The legendary Emanuel Ax performs Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto. The Washington Post describes his artistry as “thoughtful, lyrical, lustrous…” “He has long been, and continues to be, one of the finest American pianists…” says The New York Times. This concert of great romantics also features Rachmaninoff’s ravishing Second Symphony.
