Book Launch!

If you liked Writing Our Way Out, you're going to like this. It's a story of mass incarceration that is rarely told. Not the one about the beast growing, but the one where writers and activists resist it. It's all there in my new book, The Cambridge Companion to American Prison Writing and Mass Incarceration, which I'm going to open up with two of the chapter writers, Liz Canfield, who will speak on women's independent publishing behind bars, and Seth Michelson, who wrote the chapter on the inspirational poet, Jimmy Santiago Baca.
