Grænni byggð býður öll velkomin á opnun sýningarinnar „New European Bauhaus í íslensku samhengi“ í Arctic Space þann 21. ágúst 2025 kl. 17:00!
Á sýningunni verður hugtakið New European Bauhaus (NEB) kynnt og sérstök áhersla lögð á notagildi þess í íslensku samhengi. Farið verður yfir sögu, þróun og bakgrunninn að NEB hugmyndinni auk þess sem helstu þættir, gildi og vinnureglur tengdar NEB verða útskýrð. Þá verða sýnd dæmi um íslensk verkefni sem fara eftir gildum og vinnureglum NEB.
New European Bauhaus er hugmyndafræði sem stuðlar að lausnum í byggingariðnaði, arkitektúr og hönnun sem eru ekki einungis sjálfbærar heldur einnig inngildandi og fallegar. Gæti NEB hjálpað okkur að leysa þau vandamál sem íslenskur arkitektúr og hönnun standa frammi fyrir? Hvaða þætti úr hugmyndafræðinni getum við nýtt í arkitektúr og hönnun á Íslandi?

Grænni byggð (Green Building Council Iceland) welcomes everyone to the opening of the exhibition "New European Bauhaus in an Icelandic context" at Arctic Space on August 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM!
The exhibition will introduce the concept of New European Bauhaus (NEB) and focus on its applicability in the Icelandic context. The history, development and background of the NEB concept will be reviewed, as well as the main elements, values and working principles related to NEB will be explained. Examples of Icelandic projects that follow the values and working principles of NEB will be shown.
New European Bauhaus is an idea that promotes solutions in the construction industry, architecture and design that are not only sustainable but also inclusive and beautiful. Could NEB help us solve the problems that Icelandic architecture and design are facing? What aspects of the idea can we use in architecture and design in Iceland?
All are welcome to the opening on Thursday, August 21st and to view the exhibition during Arctic Space opening hours:
