Mörg vötn hafa runnið til sjávar síðan kvenskörungar á borð við Doro Pesch (Warlock) fékk réttilega viðurnefnið Queen of Metal og Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy) sprengdi öll norm. Þær hafa veitt ótal söngkonum innblástur og til heiðurs þeim - og öllum þeim sem rutt hafa brautina - bjóðum við til hamslausrar þungarokkveislu. Þrjár hljómsveitir, þar sem konur eru vopnaðar hljóðnemanum, koma til með að rífa þakið af Bird RVK þann 11. október.
Frá árinu 2019 hefur Drungi verið þátttakandi í íslensku þungarokksenunni og á síðasta ári sendi sveitin frá sér sína fyrstu breiðskífu, Hamfarir Hugans. Þann 11. október stígur Drungi á svið með nýja meðlimi, valin lög af Hamfarir Hugans og ferskt efni í farteskinu.
Reykvíska bandið Morose spilar grípandi jaðartónlist með áhrifum úr rokki og metal. Kraftmikil sviðsframkoma og rafmagnaðir tónleikar skilja engin eftir ósnortin.
Chögma er austfirsk hljómsveit sem sameinar þungarokk, djass og mýkri tóna í kraftmikla og óhefðbundna tónlistarupplifun. Með tilkomumikilli sviðsframkomu hafa þau þegar fest sig í sessi á íslensku tónlistarsenunni.

Much has changed since fierce trailblazers like Doro Pesch (Warlock) rightfully earned the title Queen of Metal and Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy) shattered every norm in sight. Their power and presence have inspired countless female vocalists, and in honor of them—and all the women who came before and paved the way—we’re throwing a no-holds-barred metal celebration.
Three bands, fronted by women armed with microphones, are ready to blow the roof off of Bird RVK on the 11th of October.
About the bands:
Since 2019, Drungi has been an active part of the Icelandic metal scene, and last year the band released its debut album, Hamfarir Hugans. On October 11th, Drungi returns to the stage with new members, selected tracks from Hamfarir Hugans, and fresh material in tow.
Mørose is a captivating band hailing from Reykjavík, Iceland, delivering alternative music infused with rock and metal influences. Their dynamic stage presence and electrifying live shows leave a lasting impression.
Chögma, hailing from the Eastfords, blend metal, jazz, and softer tones into a powerful and unconventional musical experience. With their striking stage presence, they have already established themselves in the Icelandic music scene.
