Join us for a hands-on Seed Saving Workshop
Revelstoke Food Commons site
Saturday, October 4th (weather permitting)
1:30 – 3:30 pm (right after the Market)
Together with the Local Food Initiative and CSISS, we’ll explore the art of seed saving with live demonstrations and shared knowledge:
- How to save seeds from goldenrod, yarrow, rose hips + a chat about saving native and garden seeds.
- How to save tomato, herb, and pepper seeds.
- Special guest! (TBC)
Bring seeds from your own garden (native plants, veggies, herbs, flowers) to swap + share.
LFI and CSISS will also have seeds to get you started.
You’ll learn:
- How to collect, sort, and store seeds
- How to save from vegetables, herbs, flowers, and native plants
- Why seed saving supports biodiversity + community resilience
