DIVING DEEP INTO THE HERITAGE OF OUR ANCESTORS
Our ancestors spent day and night in nature. They learned from the trees, the stars, the animals. Their skills were a prayer, connected to the cosmos. For most teachers of the old generations, Nature was the main source of knowledge. They retreated into Nature to gain deeper insights and practiced the way of the forest.
During this profound journey together, we reconnect with the path of our Ancestors.
Each weekend of the year we will live in the forest and deepen our skills and wisdom in the following areas:
- Deepening ancestral skills such as bow making, flinting stone, primitive fire making, firebowing, burning ceramics, working with leather,..
- Ceremonial practices and guided journeys, teachings about the Elements of Nature
- Solo time in the forest
- Creating power objects in group
- Meditation and contemplation with Plants, Trees and their lore
The year long combines the old knowledge of the shamanistic traditions of our regions with the ancestral skills of the land.

STAY
Every weekend of the year long, we will stay in our well-equipped basecamp in the forest. An outdoor shower and compost toilet are on the site. You will spend the night in your own tent or shelter. Delicious paleo meals are provided.
We will work with a small group for this programme, so places are limited.

If you are missing one or more modules, your contribution cannot be refunded. Can you no longer participate due to circumstances? FACILITATORS
Werner Pfeifer
Werner Pfeifer grew up in Namibia. As a child, he walked alone through the bush, together with his dog. He taught himself to hunt and did so for many years. Later, he travelled widely across the country and learned from the indigenuous San Bushmen tribe.
From Ole Nielsen, he learned traditional archery in Denmark and eventually specialised in making replicas of the Northern European Stone Age.Together with his colleague Gianluca Massalini, he accompanied several Stone Age immersions and he is co-founder of the Lithica gathering in Sweden.
For several years now, Werner has been living in the Stone Age village in Dithmarschen, Germany. There he lives Stone Age and teaches teaches people ancestral skills such as archery, weaving with natural materials, fire by friction and much more.
Stefaan Loncke
Stefaan Loncke was initiated in 1989, traditionally trained since 1995 and holds ancient oral traditions, lineage and priestly ordinations. He has been a member of the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids since 2013. Together with his wife Cin, he founded Ahawa, House for Life Deepening, in 2014, where he passes on the ancient shamanic and druidic tradition, as well as brings lunar, seasonal, wedding, baptismal and funeral ceremonies, individual healing and counselling.
Sophie Vandenkerchove
Sophie is deeply connected to the inner and outer Wilderness. She trained as a Wilderness Rites of passage Guide at the School of Lost Borders in California. She received several ordinations in Druidism and Celtic Shamanism and has been practising Zen meditation in the Korean tradition for many years. Most of all, Sophie can be found in the woods or hiking the pilgrim routes in the Ardennes, where she received her most profound insights about life. Sophie grew up in the forests of the Belgian Ardennes, where, as a child, she knew a strong connection to the land of her ancestors. After wandering through wild places in the cities, she moved back to her ancestors' village. There she founded Chamai, a retreat centre where she leads trainings, Vision Quests and weekends in nature.

VERDIEPING IN HET ERFGOED VAN ONZE VOOROUDERS
Onze voorouders brachten dag en nacht door in de natuur. Hun handvaardigheden waren een gebed, verbonden met de kosmos. Voor de meeste leraars van de oude generaties, was de Natuur de belangrijkste bron van wijsheid. Ze trokken zich terug in de Natuur om diepere inzichten te verwerven.
Tijdens dit diepgaande traject verbinden we ons opnieuw met de weg van onze Voorouders.
Elke module van het traject leven we in het bos in kleine groep en verdiepen we ons in één van de volgende domeinen:
- Verdieping in ancestrale vaardigheden zoals boogbouw, vuursteen bewerken, keramiek branden, primitief vuur maken, vuurboog bouwen, leder bewerken,..
- Ceremonies & begeleide reizen, teachings van de Vier Elementen: Aarde, Water, Lucht en Vuur
- Solo momenten in het bos
- Creatie van krachtvoorwerpen in groep
- Meditatie en bezinning met Planten, Bomen en hun overleveringen
Het traject is een combinatie van de overlevering van de oude sjamanistische traditie van onze streken en het leren van de ancestrale ambachten. Je wordt hierin begeleidt door Werner Pfeifer en Stefaan Loncke, beide experten in hun domein. Het traject gaat door in het Engels, aangezien Werner geen Nederlands spreekt. Ook van harte welkom als je Engels niet perfect is, we kunnen tussendoor vertalen.

VERBLIJF
Tijdens alle weekenden verblijven we in één van onze goed uitgeruste basecamp in onze bossen. Buitendouche en composttoilet zijn aanwezig. Je overnacht tijdens de weekenden in je eigen shelter of hangmat. Lekkere paleo maaltijden worden voorzien. We werken bewust met een klein groepje voor dit traject.

BEGELEIDING
Werner Pfeifer
Werner Pfeifer groeide op in Namibië. Als kind wandelde hij al alleen door de bush, samen met zijn hond. Hij leerde zichzelf te jagen en deed dit vele jaren. Later reisde hij veel door het land en verbleef regelmatig bij de indigene San Bushmen jager verzamelaars. Van Ole Nielsen leerde hij de traditionele boogbouw in Denemarken en specialiseerde zich uiteindelijk in het maken van replica's van de Noord-Europese Steentijd.
Samen met zijn collega Gianluca Massalini begeleidde hij ook verschillende Steentijd immersies en hij is mede-oprichter van de Lithica gathering, die elk jaar doorgaat in Zweden.
Sinds enkele jaren leeft Werner in het Steentijddorp in Dithmarschen, Duitsland. Daar leeft hij niet enkel in de Steentijd, maar begeleidt hij ook groepen en leert hen ancestrale vaardigheden zoals boogbouw, weven met natuurlijke materialen, vuur door frictie en nog veel meer.
Stefaan Loncke
Stefaan Loncke werd geïnitieerd in 1989, sinds 1995 traditioneel opgeleid en is houder van oude mondelinge overleveringen, lineage- en priesterwijdingen. Sinds 2013 is hij lid van de Order of Bards Ovates and Druids. Samen met zijn vrouw Cin stichtte hij in 2014 Ahawa, Huis voor Levensverdieping, waar hij de oude sjamanistische en druïdische traditie doorgeeft, alsook de maan-, seizoen-, huwelijk-, doop- en begrafenis ceremonies brengt, individuele healing en begeleiding geeft.
Sophie Vandenkerchove
Sophie is diep verbonden met innerlijke en uiterlijke Wilde Natuur. Ze volgde opleiding als Wilderness Rites of passage Guide aan de School of Lost Borders in Californië. Ze ontving verschillende wijdingen in het Druïdisme en Keltisch Sjamanisme en beoefent al sinds vele jaren Zen meditatie in de Koreaanse traditie. Het liefste van al, is Sophie in het bos te vinden of wandelt ze de pelgrimsroutes in de Ardennen, waar ze haar meest diepgaande inzichten heeft ontvangen over het leven. Sophie groeide op in de bossen van de Belgische Ardennen, waar ze als kind een sterke band met het land van haar voorouders kende. Na het zwerven door wilde plekken in de steden, verhuisde ze terug naar het dorp van haar voorouders. Daar richtte ze Chamai op, een retraite centrum waar ze opleidingen, Vision Quests en weekenden in de natuur begeleidt.
