Wild Woman Weekend 2026
There comes a moment on every healing path when the way forward is down. Inanna, ancient Queen of Heaven and Earth, once heard that call. She laid aside every role and adornment, passed through seven gates, and entered the realm of her sister Ereshkigal - where grief is raw, silence absolute, and nothing can be hidden. There she was undone. And from that dark stillness, new life began to stir.
This is the heart of Wild Woman Weekend 2026.
It is an invitation to deep work:
to meet the shadows we have outrun,
to grieve what was lost or taken,
to reclaim the parts of ourselves hidden in trauma’s underworld.
Before books and borders, there was the oldest story of descent.
Inanna—queen of heaven and earth—walked through seven shadow-gates. At each she surrendered crown, necklace, veil—
until nothing remained but the fierce light of her own soul.
In the dark womb of the world, she met death, mystery, and the truth that a woman reborn carries power for her people.
This is the map we follow.
July 9-12 2026, the Sacred Medicine Sisterhood invites you to Wolf Run Wildlife & Spiritual Sanctuary (Remus, MI) for four days of myth and marrow: a living experiment in matriarchal community. We gather not as strangers but as an ancient lineage-builders, nurturers, protectors, sustainers - women who know that the future will be shaped by our hands, our choices, our collective care.
Why We Gather
In a world that rewards competition and extraction, Wild Woman Weekend dares another way. Here, matriarchal living is not theory but practice.
As Inanna stripped down to her essential truth, we too lay down what no longer serves—colonial hierarchies, burnout culture, inherited silence. We descend together to remember the oldest ways of thriving: cooperation, reciprocity, fierce compassion.
What You’ll Experience
Ceremony & Story to meet grief and rage as holy teachers and midwives of change
Movement & Music - drums, trance dance, and night-fire songs that call the bones awake
Wildcraft & Sustainability: hands-on teachings in plant medicine, regenerative living, and the politics of care
Deep Sisterhood: the embodied remembering that no woman walks their underworld alone
Why It Matters
This is more than a retreat. It is a living model of matriarchal culture - a glimpse of the world we are already building. Together we practice the future: a society where equity, earth-honoring stewardship, and collective leadership are the foundation of everything we do. You will leave with ash on your palms, starlight in your hair, and a story that will walk beside you for the rest of your life.
Come ready to descend.
To shed what is false.
To rise fierce, luminous, and ungovernable.
